it worked for me after I pressed Fn + F1. I reinstalled the operating system at a cost of over $300.00 and countless hours of time in backing up and restoring programs. We just bought a Sony VGN sz440 laptop and are having the same issue of the mouse going haywire and also having windows flash in and out.
