Remove the blower motor and remove the screw from the rear. At the back of the motor is the motor controller, look closely at this part. No luck with whacking on the dash. If you don't want to wait (I've seen motors starting to be back ordered in edmonton) and have some mechcanical skill take a good look under the dash on the drivers

This unlocks the motor, pull it out, take some fine sand paper and clean the commutator (its a copper colored ring) by spinning the motor and rubbing the sand paper on I have yet to see this happen outside of the US. This might be an easy fix or even prevented with a drop or two of oil on the bearings of the fan motor.
