Once the Windows Search index has been rebuilt, try searching for your files again. Just make a new account on your computer and it will work… then curse Microsoft for not providing a proper fix for it. Your cache administrator is webmaster. I believe that it may be related, my Outlook 2013 search isn't returning results either.

I can't even search any items on this pc. You can get there by either by hitting Windows + X and selecting Control Panel or by searching for Control Panel. 2. Google used to have a brillant desktop search. I dont know whether it is still available and will work with 8.1.
