PLAYBAR does not support DTS audio signals. I read the manual that came with the switch, and changed the jumper setting to pull/push 5.1 no matter what (Mode 2), and that solved the issue. BTW, I just added a Sonos sub and it makes a HUGE difference. What is this "sonos suggestion" you mentioned? MPEG is output as PCM. You will need one Digital optical cable with the protective cover removed to connect your TV to the Sound bar. Important: If you do not have audio when connected to a TV, verify the TV speakers have been turned off and TV audio is being sent to Sound bar.

The TV passes HDMI sources in stereo. Don't get your hopes up, because a lot of TVs won't...but it's worth looking into. This will only work for the digital tuner (EDIT – as opposed to the analogue which the tv will also prob have). Run HDMI to a surround bar w/HDMI, then onto a TV. So from the Roku streamer, directly in is not possible. Optical Multichannel out from HDMI would be an illegal operation, and you won't find a receiver with this feature. Im assuming theirs a firmware upgrade, does anyone know of this?
