When Paint had focus, the Print Screen worked fine. macuser likes this. Is that how you were trying to get it to work? Printscreen shows up instantly.

up vote 1 down vote favorite This was resolved by the first commenter Usually I can use the Windows+S shortcut to take a screenshot, but it has recently stopped working. Print Screen Stopped Working The system returned: (22) Invalid argument The remote host or network may be down. Unfortunately, I always had a lot of screens open each time and it was time consuming and frustrating to have to close and open everything all the time. Cause I know it works now.

I was capturing screen shots from an XWin program on my PC and pasting them into Paint. You can use paint or Word.
